Jacob was born and raised in the Kansas City area. He followed his high school sweetheart, Betsy, to college in Tennessee, where, in 2005, he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting with minors in business management and religion. He then followed Betsy back to KC, where he has worked ever since.

Before starting Horowitz Tax & Accounting LLC, Jacob’s seventeen years of professional experience included 16 years in tax, 13 of which were in public accounting, and three of which were at a prestigious Big 4 firm. He has served the tax and accounting needs of multi-nationals and mom-and-pops alike. Jacob earned his Certified Public Accountant license in 2010, and he is a member of the AICPA. He maintains certificates in good standing with both the Kansas Board of Accountancy and the Missouri State Board of Accountancy.

Jacob has been happily married to Betsy since 2006. They have two clever children and a standard poodle. Jacob unashamedly enjoys pizza and Dr. Pepper, and he takes his coffee the way God intended: with real cream and sugar. In his free time, Jacob likes to dabble in music composition; if you ever have the good fortune to be placed on hold on the phone with our office, you may hear some of his work.
